Farmington Fair !
Farmington Fair LogoHarness racing in Farmington is held in conjunction with the Farmington Fair . Races are run on a half mile oval in front of an open air grandstand that looks like it's been around a while. The highlight of the meet are Maine Sire Stakes races.
Not much to say other than it runs a seven day meet in mid-September as part of the Maine Agricultural Fair Circuit.
In 2012 the meets leading driver was Kevin Switzer. He was also part of a racing oddity when he finished in a dead heat for win on September 21st with his son Kevin Jr.
This one has to go on the bucket list, not only have I never seen a race there I have never set eyes on the track either. Maybe some fall afternoon I can make an effort to get there.
