A Pleasant Place!
Pleasanton has
conducted racing since 1939 at The Alameda County Fairgrounds, as part
of the California Fair Circuit.
In 2011 Pleasanton raced 13 days between June and July. This is an increase over previous years, because of the closing of Bay Meadows Race Track. Pleasanton is also being looked at as a site that could take on more race dates, if nearby Golden Gate Fields is sold to developers. No surprise jockey Russell Baze won the riding title.
